Still Here!

We are still here. I think we forget to let the baby know his/her due date. Oh well. I feel like I am still in pretty good spirits (but I have my moments). I feel like a beached whale that cannot hardly move, but I know that this will all be over soon. The baby still kicks and squirms, and those are feelings that cannot be described, it is wonderful. It is amazing that I am carrying a new little person. I went to the midwife yesterday and she said everything is going well...we set the induction date for Sat. May 14...so we only have 1 week to go!!

Are we going to make it??

We have less than a week until our due date. I have been late (10-12 days late) with the last 3 kids. I went 1 week early (6 days) with Brendan. So, with that being said, you think I would be "used" to going late. But frankly, I am not. I am so curious to meet this new little one. And I feel big and uncomfortable and a bit grumpy. Man, pregnancy emotions can be tough to contain at the end. I pray for sleep every night, and that I will go into labour every day. I know God's timing is perfect, but it sure is a test of endurance for this mom. So hopefully you all hear good news soon!! And if not soon, at least you will in about 2 1/2 weeks!

Our bathroom is done!!!!

And it is beautiful. Bryan took on this project a couple of months ago, and even though it took longer that expected, the results are amazing!! I must say, Bryan is a very talented guy. He did everything himself, from ripping out the entire yucky, old, stinky bathroom, to drywalling, installing a new tub and vanity, plumbing, flooring, installing a new closet and painting...everything!! I am very proud of him. I am also very thankful to be able to have 2 functioning bathrooms that i can CLEAN!! Can you tell I nesting :o) Here are some pictures (the before picture is taken when we purchased the home, but the old owners still lived here). The old bathroom was very, very gross. It had black floors, an odd linen closet and unknown mold...

Our 8 1/2 year old...

I feel like our Brendan doesn't get enough press. Joshie is at a really cute stage and says really cute things, so there is a lot to write about him. Keegan is spunky as ever, and the stories never, I mean never end with him. And Aliah is the baby, she is always changing and something is always new with her. And then there is sweet Brendan. Sweet Brendan. God knows exactly what we need and in His grace, He gives it to us. God knew I needed Brendan. He has his moments, but they are rare. For the most part, he is steady and quiet and very helpful. And he loves babies and babies love him. When the little kids are crabby and there is nothing more that mommy can do, and mommy feels like she needs to get out of the room our she will become crabby, Brendan always is right there to help me out. He takes the cranky baby and snuggles them, plays with them or reads them stories. And he does this on his own intuition. He is a dream come true for this momma. Of course, all my children are wonderful...but this is one particular boy I could not live without.
