A Week of Firsts

Well we started school. And we had a very good start, we changed up our routine, became a bit more scheduled and now things seem to be running smoothly. We also started swimming lessons, and the older boys always love swimming lessons. Joshie is old enough too start this year too, the age requirement is 3. He was very unsure, shed a few tears, clung onto me for dear life, but eventually went into the pool, and even had a little fun. Our home school group does swimming lessons on Thursdays at the Wayne Gretzy Center...they have very good teachers and it is fun to do it with other home schoolers.

Brendan also started Violin lessons this week. He has wanted to play violin for about 3 years now, and so after much thought, we decided that it might be a good thing. We found a beautiful sounding violin used and met his teacher for the first time on Monday night. She is so nice and turns out that she is also a Christian, which is very nice. He is taking lessons at the Brantford Music Center. Brendan is very excited! And I am thankful that we can do this!

So our first week back has been good. We are hoping for a great year!
